Gaithersburg, MD, (KK) – Early voting begins in less than a week, but election officials in Montgomery County have been preparing for months. The equipment is the same as the 2016 presidential election. Voters will make their selections on a ballot marking machine and then insert the ballot into a computer that will tally the votes.
“We’re open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day including Saturday and Sunday. That’s always a big question I get asked. We certainly encourage everybody to come out. It’s a great opportunity for voters to choose when they’re going to vote, where they’re going to vote, as well as how they’re going to vote,” said Marjorie Roher with the Montgomery County Board of Elections
Early voting runs from June 14 to the 21. You can visit 777vote.org to find out the wait times during early voting.
