Maugansville, Md (KM) The fire which damaged a tractor trailer in Maugansville on Thursday morning is being labeled accidental.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters from the Maugansville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 14,188 Perini Avenue shortly before 7:30 AM for a Peterbilt truck on fire. They had the flames fire under control within five-minutes. There were no injuries.
Investigators say the fire originated in the engine compartment.
Damage is estimated at $40,000 to the truck, and $5,000 to the contents. .
