Thurmont, Md (KM) A known gang member was arrested in Frederick County Tuesday morning. State Police say Richard John Halsup, 32, was taken into custody on a violation of probation warrant. He’s been turned over to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
As part of their investigation, troopers say they served a search and seizure warrant on Halsup’s home on Catoctin Furnace Road in Thurmont, and recovered several firearms.
Authorities say Halsup is a member of the Dead Man Incorporated (DMI)) gang, and is prohibited from possessing firearms. State Police say Halsup could be facing weapons charges in Frederick County.
The troopers involved in this arrest are part of the State Police Criminal Enforcement Division….Firearms Enforcement Unit.
