Around 100 firefighters responded to the blaze.
Thurmont, Md. (NS) – A large fire badly damaged a dining hall at Camp Airy in Thurmont Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the 14900 block of Old Camp Airy Road at around 7:30 for the blaze.
First responders found smoke from the eaves of a building and fire on the second floor.
Tanker task forces were requested to the scene to supply water.
Officials say the building was empty at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.
Around 100 firefighters from across the region responded to the fire and are still at the scene as of 10 a.m.
