No injuries are reported.
Urbana, Md. (KM) – There were no injuries Thursday afternoon from a town house fire in Urbana.
At around 2:25 PM, fire fighters was dispatched to the 9600 block of Ethan Ridge Drive for reports of a town house on fire. . Other information came in to the Emergency Communications Center about a vehicle on fire outside of a garage of a town house.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services says units arrived to find fire on all three floors in the rear of a middle town house, with the flames extending to adjacent town houses. The fire went to two alarms, and as additional apparatus and personnel were brought to the scene.
100 fire fighters from Frederick, Carroll and Montgomery Counties spent 30-minutes bringing the flames under control,. and another 30-minutes doing overhaul and ventilating the town houses.
All occupants got out of the homes safely. .They’re being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office.
