These case will be moved to Circuit Court and trial dates will be scheduled.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – It was a busy day on Friday for the Frederick County Grand Jury.
The panel returned 14 indictments, including one against Ruddie David Janish, 31, of Thurmont whose charged with three counts each of robbery and second-degree assault, and several counts of theft and theft scheme. Frederick Police say Janish was arrested in July for three commercial robberies. All of them took place at the 7-11 store at 204 Amber Drive. Detectives say they determined Janish was the suspect based his appearance and the method he used to rob the store.
Another indictment was returned to Matthew John Anders, 64, of Smithsburg who is charged with 2nd-degree rape, 3rd-degree sex offense and 2nd-degree assault. Thurmont Police say Anders was arrested in July after a seven-year-girl girl told authorities someone had inappropriately touched her. The child was being examined at Frederick Health Hospital following a sex offense.
Others indicted by the Grand Jury include:
- Sajiran Nadarajah, 25, of Washington DC, whose charged with two counts of 2nd-degree rape and three counts of 2nd-degree rape for an incident which occurred on July 23rd, 2022.
- Mark Aaron Tetter, 35, of Frederick, who is charged with sex abuse of a minor, continuing conduct; two counts of 2nd-degree rape and two counts of sex abuse of a minor for incidents which occurred between March 1st, 2022 to June 18th, 2022.
- Terry Lee Bowie, Jr., 46, of Frederick, who is charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute on school property (all cocaine) and possession of paraphernalia (digital scale) for an incident which occurred on May 27th, 2022.
- Jarmil Dewan Sadler, 38, of Frederick, who is charged with possession of a fireman with a conviction for a prior crime of violence; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; possession of drugs with a firearm; having a handgun on his person; illegal possession of ammunition; littering under 100 pounds and possession of paraphernalia (all cocaine) for an incident which occurred on July 6th, 2022.
- Chelsea Anne Kendell, 38, of Union Bridge, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury; failure to return and remain at the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury; failure to render or reasonable assistance to a person injured in an accident; and failure to report an accident to police for an incident which occurred on July 13th, 2022.
- Bobby Eugene Adams, 37, of Woodsboro,, Md, who is charged with possession of a large amount of drugs; possession with intent to distribute (fentanyl) and possession of fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine. for an incident which occurred on June 30th, 2022..
- Keon Lamar Pittman, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault; and a crime of violence against a pregnant person for an incident which occurred on July 4th, 2022.
- Juan Carlos Soto-Garcia, 37m if Frederick, Md who is charged with attempted 2nd-degree rape; 4th-degree sex offense; (contact) and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on March 11th, 2022.
- Keyon Ptah Williams, 24,od Philadelphia, Pa., who is charged with possession of a firearm with a conviction of a crime of violence/felony; illegal possession of a firearm; having a loaded firearm on his person; having a handgun on his person; illegal possession of ammunition; and another firearms offense for an incident which occurred on May 30th, 2022.
- Leonard Anthony Morris, 19, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with use of a firearm in drug trafficking; distribution of drugs with a firearm; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; possession of a regulated firearm while under 21; possession of marijuana; possession of cocaine; possession of ten grams or more of marijuana; illegal possession of a loaded handgun; having a loaded handgun in a vehicle; having a handgun in a vehicle; having a handgun on his person; resisting and interfering with an arrest for an incident which occurred on July 1st, 2022.
These two cases are supplemental indictments:
- Wayne Augustus Chase IV, 26, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with distribution of fentanyl on school property; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; possession of fentanyl for an incident which occurred on December 6th, 2021.
- Dearil Green, III, 45, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with possession of cocaine for an incident which occurred on November 18th, 2021.
These indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
The State’s Attorney’s Office says an indictment is a charging document, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
