MDOT SHA says crews will be replacing damaged guardrails.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says the ramp from Md. 80 (Fingerboard Road) to southbound Interstate 270, and the exit ramp from southbound I-270 to Md. 80 will be closed starting on Thursday at 8:00 PM This will allow crews to replace damaged guardrail with new guardrail.
Personnel will be using electronic signs, road signs, cones and barrels to alert motorist, and guide them through the workzone.
As a result of this work, MDOT SHA says traffic will e detoured. Southbound I-270 traffic will take Exit 22 to Md. 109 (Old Hundred Road) and then on to northbound I-270 to access Md. 80. Drivers coming from Md. 80 will be detoured to northbound I-270 and take Exit 31 to Md. 85 (Buckeystown Pike) to get on to southbound I-270.
The work is expected to be completed by 4:00 AM on Friday.
