Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Three suspects have been charged for the armed robbery of a convenience store in Gaithersburg. Montgomery County Police say Chris Perez, 21, of Derwood, George Clarence Molina, 20, of Gaithersburg, and Jonathan Schwegler,25, of Germantown were taken into custody for the holdup of the Seven-Eleven store in the 15900 block of Shady Grove Road.
The robbery occurred on Friday, April 14th at 3:00 AM. Police say Perez and Molina entered the store. While Molina served as a lookout, Perez approached an employee and demanded he open up the cash register. As the clerk was attempting to do so, authorities say Perez struck him in the head with a handgun.
Both men left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. They got into a red Toyota operated by Schwegler.
All three suspects are being held without bond. They’re charged with armed robbery, 1st-degree assault and firearms related offenses.
Police also say a motorcycle was observed arriving at the scene, and leaving with the red Toyota after the robbery. . Authorities are searching that individual.
