Three Persons Incarcerated At Montgomery County Correctional Facility In Clarksburg Die

Officials say the deaths are not related.

Rockville, Md (KM) The Montgomery County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says three inmates died earlier this month

Officials say two of the individuals died at the Holy Cross Hospital on January 10th. . One was taken to the hospital the day before after being found unresponsive at  the correctional facility in Clarksburg. Nurses and corrections office personnel  arrived and performed  life-saving measures. The inmate was taken to Holy Cross Hospital. He died the next day.

The second person had been receiving care at the hospital for about one week before passing away on January 10th.  . Correctional officials say that inmate had a significant medical diagnoses.

A third inmate died at the Clarksburg correctional facility on January 11th after having a medical emergency.

The bodies of all three persons were taken to the Maryland State Medical Examiner’s Office  for autopsies.

Authorities say these deaths are unrelated and no evidence of foul play has been found.

Montgomery County officials did not release the names of the inmates, or why they were being held. But they say condolences have been offered to the inmates’ families.
