Trapped Man Rescued From House In Frederick

Two dogs were also taken from the home.

Frederick, Md (KM) One man was rescued from a burning house and medivaced to Bayview Burn Center with critical injuries following a house fire Tuesday night.

Frederick County Fire and Rescue says personnel were dispatched at 6:45 PM to the 5700 block of Bartonsville Road which is southeast of Frederick city. They found heavy fire and smoke coming from a two-story, single family home with one person trapped.

Crews encountered fire on the second floor. They were able to get those flames extinguished at 7:06 PM. . The fire was declared under control by 7:10 PM, according to the incident commander at the scene.

Fire officials say two dogs were rescued from the home. One was taken to a veterinarian for treatment; the other was turned over  to relatives.

The County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to investigate.
