Two 18-year old males captured and arrested after foot chase, third arrested after search warrant executed.

Hagerstown, MD – On Monday September 16th, 2024 at approximately 7:09 P.M. officers from the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the area of 34 North Cannon Avenue (CVS) for shots fired.
Upon officers arriving in the area they engaged in foot pursuits of three suspects. Two suspects were quickly apprehended in the area of South Mulberry Street. They have been identified as Micah Curtis, age 18 of Hagerstown and Davon Alfonzo Griffin also age 18 of Hagerstown. Officers also located two handguns that were discarded by two of the suspects during the foot pursuit.
Officers identified two victims from the incident and determined their vehicle had been struck by gunfire. A search warrant was executed at 14 South Mulberry Street in the early morning hours on Tuesday September 17th, 2024 and Franck Diffo-Simmo, age 18 of Hagerstown, was taken into custody.
The Hagerstown Police Department would like to recognize the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Washington County Special Response Team for their assistance in this investigation.

Curtis, Griffin, and Diffo-Simmo have been charged with Attempted Murder and various handgun violations. They are currently awaiting an initial appearance at the Washington County Detention Center.
Thanks to the swift actions of responding officers and the investigators for putting this case together, 3 people have been charged and handguns were taken off the streets.
