Frederick County Residents Asked To Identify Root Causes Of Several Top Local Issues

An on line survey is now open.

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick County residents are invited to take part in a survey on the root causes of the top health issues in the community. It’s part of a continuing effort by the Frederick County Health Department, Frederick Health Hospital and the Coalition for a Healthier Frederick County to learn more about the community’s health needs.

Earlier this year, a community health needs assessment process identified racial equity and justice, housing, food and nutrition, the cost of living, and mental health and social isolation as the common themes from all the data collected. This was based onĀ  Community Health Needs responses from county residents, stories and experiences shared in five focus groups that were held in September, 2024, and additional data about health concerns in the county.

The Coalition for a Healthier Frederick County is asking citizens to share what they think are the root causes of these problems by taking a short, on line survey, which will remain open until November 22nd, 2024.. (HealthierFrereick.org/RootCausesSurvey)

The responses will be used to identify health priorities in a public input session in January, 2025. The date will be announced in the future.
