It happened Friday night during mail-in ballot canvassing.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) An investigation is underway by authorities into a bomb threat that was received on Friday, at the Frederick County Board of Elections.
Police said those working at the election office had to be evacuated. The threat came in at approximately 7:30 pm. while mail-in-ballots were being canvassed. The elections office personnel, who were still in the building when the threatening email was received, were moved to a secure location until around midnight, said police.
After a thorough investigation was conducted, the threat was deemed not credible, by authorities.
