Frederick, Md (KM) The trial of David Clayton Hanson, 34, of Madison Heights, Virginia. is scheduled to continue on Thursday at the Frederick County Court House. Hanson is charged with attempted 1st-degree murder, 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and numerous firearms offenses.
Hanson was arrested in November, 2021, for pointing a gun at a woman who was in her vehicle talking with an acquaintance. Frederick Police say Hanson came from behind the vehicle, racked his handgun, and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. The incident occurred in the 400 block of East Patrick Street.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says prosecutors continued to call witnesses to the stand on Wednesday.
The trial is expected to resume on Thursday at 9:00 AM.
