One was a woman who is charged with stabbing a teenage girl.
Frederick, Md (KM) Six indictments were handed down on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury. In one, the panel charged Sophia Karrina Judd, 18, of Brunswick with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
Judd was arrested on November 18th, 2024 for stabbing a 16-year-old girl. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries Judd remains at the Adult Detention Center on a no-bond status. .
Brunswick Police say the two knew each other and that the stabbing resulted from an altercation over text messages exchanged earlier in the day. .
The other indictments returned by the Grand Jury are:
*MarisoL S. Alberto-Santos, 32, of Frederick, who is charged with 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an offense which occurred on November 9th, 2024
*Jose Salvador Melendez-Reyes, 31, of Frederick, who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse; 2nd-degree child abuse by a custodian; and neglect of a minor for an offense which occurred between November 15th-16th, 2024
*Daniel Lara-Salazar, 31, of Puyallup, Washington, who is charged with 19 counts of solicitation of a subject for child pornography; and one count of displaying obscene material to a minor for offenses which occurred from June 9th to July 18th, 2024.
*Jack Spence Lyle, 26, of Frederick, who is charged with three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor; and two counts of procuring and soliciting prostitution for an offense which occurred on November 21st, 2024.
*Anthony Joseph Egleston, 26, of Frederick, who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an offense which occurred on November 19th, 2024
These cases now move to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds residents that indictments are charging documents alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
