Myersville, Md (KM) Fire damaged a house in the Myersville area on Friday afternoon.
At around 4:08 PM, the call went out for a house fire in the 9000 block of Old Harmony Road. Fire fighters arriving on the scene reported heavy fire, and requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch to bring in additional fire fighters.
The Frederick Scanner Facebook page reports a tanker task force was established to bring water to the fire scene due to the driveway being a mile long. Two adults in the home got out safely, and were not injured.
The fire was on the first and second floors and showing through the roof on the backside, fire fighters say. Personnel made entry into the home, but had to back out due to fire conditions. They conducted a defensive operation, battling the fire from the outside.
The bulk of the fire was brought under control at 5:10 PM, , but crews remained on the scene to put out hot spots. and do extensive overhaul.
