This is in response to the increase in crashes involving pedestrians & bicyclists.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick Police Department is reporting an increase in the number of crashes involving bicyclists and pedestrians, and has issued these safety tips.
If you’re walking, use crosswalks, stay alert and make eye contact with drivers.
For those who like to ride their bicycles, follow all traffic laws, use bike lights and stay visible.
And those who are driving motor vehicles should slow down, yield to pedestrians, and avoid distractions.
The Police say the city of Frederick is committed to Vision Zero with a goal to eliminate traffic fatalities through safer streets and shared responsibility.
