Martinsburg, WV – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has announced a $35,000 reward for information regarding the 2020 arson case that led to the death of Staff Sgt. Logan Young, a firefighter with the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard.  Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging the public to assist in solving this tragic case.

The reward fund was made possible by contributions from two anonymous donors and the State Fire Marshal’s Office according to TriStateAlert.com.  Officials believe that someone holds crucial information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Sgt. Young’s death.

“We remain committed to seeking justice for Staff Sgt. Young and his family,” said a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office. “Every lead is valuable, and we encourage anyone with knowledge to step forward.”
