UPDATE – Frederick Health Hospital Confirms It Was The Victim Of A Ransomware Event

FHH says it remains open & is continuing to serve patients

Frederick Health Medical l Services say it offices remain open, but patients may experience delay as copes with the ransomware attack.  If a patient’s appointment can’t proceed, officials say they will reschedule as soon as possible.

UPDATE – Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Health Hospital is confirming it was the victim of a ransomware event. Spokesman Josh Faust says in a statement that the hospital has taken immediate steps to contain the incident, and has taken its systems off line. He also says FHH is working with third party cybersecurity experts to bring the hospital’s systems back online as quickly as possible.

The statement says Frederick Health Hospital remains open and is continuing to provide care for patients. But there could be some delays in hospital services at this time.

Faust says FHH is on a diversion mode, and any ambulances bringing in patients will be diverted to another hospital.  But patients coming into the emergency room on their own, or are brought in by a family member or friend will be treated.

Most appointments are continuing as scheduled.

The hospital says it appreciates the public’s support and patience as it works to bring everything back to normal.

Frederick Health Hospital NOT Accepting New Patients- Operating Under Mini-Disaster Status

Instead of ambulances bringing patients into FHH, they are being transported to nearby facilities.

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Currently Frederick Health Hospital is not admitting or seeing any new patients into their facility. According to the Washington County Maryland Fire Calls Facebook page, the hospital is under a mini disaster status.
