A third suspect remains at large.

Thurmont, Md (KM) Two suspects were arrested Thursday morning following the theft of two dirt bikes, and a third suspect remains at large.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office say at around 3:19 AM, deputies responded to the 11730 block of Hessong Bridge Road in Thurmont. They received a call about suspects who had stolen two dirt bikes from a residence and were heading toward Route 15 in an SUV with a trailer.
The vehicle was spotted a short time later near Route 340, and a traffic stop was initiated. But the driver refused to stop and a short vehicle chase occurred before it was stopped at Route 15 and Sundays Lane. The Sheriff’s Office says deputies used stop sticks which deflated the driver-side tires of the fleeing vehicle. .
Two males inside the vehicle fled on foot. Deputies with assistance from Maryland State Troopers were able to detain one suspect, Darius Deontae Bond, 18, of Brooklyn, Maryland.
The second suspect was located by an aerial drone which identified the suspect lying in a field. . It guided deputes to the suspect’s location. The Maryland State Police helicopter also assisted from the air..
Bond is charged with two counts of theft between $1500 to under $25,000; 3rd-degree burglary; 4th-degree burglary; theft between $25,000 and $100,000; two counts of unauthorized removal of property; resisting arrest; and multiple traffic-related offenses. He’s being held without bond.
The second suspect apprehended by the Sheriff’s Office is a minor who was turned over the Department of Juvenile Services.
Authorities say the vehicle they were using was reported stolen from Pennsylvania.
