Howard County Police Investigating Two Fatal Accidents Last Weekend

A 28-year-old woman and 19-year-old man were killed

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Howard County Police are investigating two separate fatal crashes that happened last weekend.

The first occurred around 10:45 PM on Whiskey Bottom Road when a Hyundai veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The driver, Meshala Williams, 28, was taken to Shock Trauma, where she was pronounced dead. A child riding in the back seat was taken to the hospital for a precautionary checkup.

A few hours later, at 1:30 AM, a Nissan Altima traveling north on Washington Boulevard collided with a sedan pulling out of the Super 8 Motel. The Altima then left the road, striking a telephone pole and a fence. The driver, Tonny Otieno, 19, died at the scene.

Police are investigating both crashes, looking into possible factors like speed and weather conditions.
