Frederick County Grand Jury Returns Seven Indictments

One is against a suspect accused of trying to kill a woman at a party in January.

Frederick, Md (KM) Seven indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury.

One of them is against Trey A, Rice, 23, of Middletown, Md.,  who is charged with attempted 1st-degree murder, attempted 2nd-degree murder, 1st-degree assault  and 2nd-degree assault, along with 3rd-degree sex offense and 4th-degree sex offense.. Rice was arrested following a party in January at McClintock Distilling on South Carroll Street in Frederick. Police say he attacked a woman in a bathroom at the party,

Two men from Washington DC were indicted as co-defendants. Darrell A. Foster, 30, and Darius Maurcio Jones, 31, are charged with home invasion; conspiracy to commit home invasion; armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery; 1st-degree burglary; conspiracy to commit 1st-degree burglary; two counts of 1st-degree assault; two counts of firearm use in a felony or violent crime; possession of a firearm with a prior criminal or violent crime conviction; and illegal possession of ammunition. Jones is charged separately from Foster with having a magazine of ten rounds or more.

The two men were arrested in connection with a break-in in January at a home in the 5600 block of Doubs Road.

The Grand Jury also handed down these indictments:

*Darius Doentae Bond, 19, of Brooklyn, Md., who is charged with 2nd-degree general burglary; conspiracy to commit 2nd-degree general burglary; two counts of theft between $1500 to $25,000; conspiracy to commit the theft of $1500 to $25,000; unlawful taking of a motor vehicle; malicious destruction of property of more than $1000; exceeding the speed limit; driving without a license; failure to obey a traffic control device; failure to stop at a stop sign; and two counts of fleeing and eluding for an offense which occurred on January 30th, 2025.

*Gary Michael Gouge, 41,of Mount Airy, Md, who is charged with 1st-degree assault; four counts of 2nd-degree assault and false imprisonment for an offense which occurred on January 16th, 2025;

* Rachel Goodrich, 40, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault for an offense which occurred on December 2nd, 2024.

There was also a supplemental indictment of Jack Spencer Lyle, 24, of Frederick, Md.,  who is charged with three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor for an offense which occurred on November 21st, 20245.

These cases now move to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are  charging documents alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
