The juvenile is also suspected of theft.
Frederick, Md (KM) A juvenile has been charged with theft and firearms offenses.
Frederick Police say on Saturday, February 8th at around 12:00 PM, officers responded to the 1500 block of Opposumtown Pike for a theft in progress at a local business. . One of the officers located the youth in a nearby parking lot. A witness identified the juvenile as the suspect.
Police say a search was conducted, and a fully loaded Glock 19 handgun was found concealed in the youth’s jacket.
The juvenile was charged with theft under $100; possession of a firearm by a minor; having a loaded handgun on a person; having a handgun on a person; illegal possession of ammunition; and illegal possession of a regulated firearm.
The youth was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Services.
