Walkersivlle, Md (KM) Fire heavily damaged a two-story house in the Discovery neighborhood near Walkersville Thursday night.
According to the Frederick Scanner Facebook page,, fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the 8500 block of Adventure Court at around 8:45 PM. and saw heavy fire showing. The Rapid Intervention Dispatch was requested along the Fire Task Force.
There were reports of some residents inside the home at the time of the fire, but officials say all occupants were able to get out. One resident who had trouble breathing was staying at a neighbor’s house.
Fire fighters had the fire under control in the interior of the home just after 9:00 PM. The remainder of the fire was brought under control by 9:45 PM.
Fire officials say two patients were evaluated by medics; one was taken to an area hospital.
