Summons have been issued for them to appear in court.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged three suspects with theft and conspiracy to commit a theft scheme in connection with 28 burglaries. They’re identified as Gabriel Ernesto Cruz-Romero, 24, Samuel Enrique Diaz-Pedreanez, 24, and Jaylin Elijah Matthews, 25. All three live in Frederick.
The District Court has issued summons for each of them to appear in court.
From September to October, 2024, officers were dispatched to 28 burglaries around Frederick at construction sites where homes were nearing completion. The thieves were targeting appliances such as water heaters, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves and stoves.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Division say their investigation determined that the suspects used rental trucks to remove the appliances, and take them away for resale.. Working with the rental companies, reviewing surveillance video and serving several search and seizure warrants, authorities were able to identify these three men as suspects.
