Dulles International Airport, VA (DG) – A Maryland man was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct following an altercation at Dulles International Airport on March 13.
The incident occurred at Gate D12 when 54-year-old Christopher Stuart Crittenden, a retired Montgomery County Fire Department Captain, reportedly punched a United Airlines gate agent.
Bystanders captured the entire incident on video, which quickly circulated online. In response to the assault, the Airports Authority’s fire and rescue department transported the injured gate agent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
United Airlines has confirmed that Crittenden has been banned from future travel with the airline.
The case remains under investigation.
