Juvenile Charged With Making Threat To A Montgomery County Middle School

His case was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Services.

Rockville, Md (KM) A 13-year-old boy is charged with making threats against a school.

Montgomery County Police say on Monday, March 17th, 2025, Parkland Middle School in Rockville received phone calls from an individual who said he intended to carry out a mass shooting. Parkland Middle School initiated a shelter-in-place status as did nearby Brookhaven Elementary School.

The Montgomery County Police Department’s Behavioral Assessment Unit identified the caller as a 13-year-boy who attended another middle school. . He is charged with threat of mass violence, and disruption of school activities.. His case has been over to the Department of Juvenile Services.

Police have determined there was no credible threat to the community.
