Most are for drug offenses.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – Ten indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury/ Many were for drug offenses.
One person indicted was Dacora Nicole Ross, 28, of Baltimore, Md, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; Distribution and possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl/heroin mix; possession of cocaine; possession of fentanyl; possession of heroin; possession of paraphernalia (a scale for cocaine) for an incident which occurred on March 14th, 2022.
Indicted as co-defendants were Cassandra Elaine Summers, and Daren Edward Summers, 27, both of Frederick who are charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; distribution and possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl/heroin mix, possession of heroin; possession of fentanyl; possession of paraphernalia (glass smoking device for coccaine); possession of paraphernalia (a digital scale for fentanyl); possession of paraphernalia (glass vials for cocaine); and possession of paraphernalia (torn plastid baggies for fentanyl) for an incident which occurred on Janaury 26th, 2022.
Two other co-defendants indicted on Friday were Blake Anthony Nivens, 26, and Wayne Allen Layton, both of Frederick. Nivens is indicted for possession with intent to distribute cocaine; possession with intent to distribute psilocybin and marijuana; possession with intent to distribute Alprazolam; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; possession with intent to distribute cocaine; possession with intent to distribute Psilocybin; possession of Alprazolam; possession with intent to distribute marijuana (10 grams or more); possession of paraphernalia (digital scale for cocaine); possession of paraphernalia (packaging material for cocaine); use of a firearm in a drug traffkicking crime; possession of a firearm with a felony conviction for a violent crime; illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and illegit possession of ammunition.
Layton is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana (10 grams or more). Both Nivens and Layton are charged for an incident which occurred on March 9th, 2022.
Two other co-defendants indicted on Friday were Elisjah Antoine Burgess, 22, of Gwynn Oak, Md., and Malachi Isaac Dalton, 19, of New Windsor, Md. Both are charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute cocaine; conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana; ; possession of marijuana (10 grams or more); possession of cocaine; and possession of fentanyl for an incident which occurred on March 7th, 2022.
Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:
- Krista Marie Knill, 47, of Frederick, whose charged with 1st-degree assault, two counts of 2nd-degree assault; two counts of reckless endangerment; and two counts of being intoxicated to endanger for an incident which occurred between February 1st and 2nd, 2022.
- Mario Matthew Samm, 31, of Frederick, Md. whose charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; reckless endangerment; use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence; discharging a dangerous weapons within the city; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; having a handgun on his person; and illegal possession of ammunition for an incident which occurred on December 27th, 2021.
- John Joseph Mister, 56, of Hebron, Md., whose charged with two counts of 2nd-degree general burglary; two counts of 4th-degree burglary with burglary tools (pry bar); two counts of theft less than $100; and two counts of malicious destruction of property les than $1,000 for an incident which occurred on December 4th, 2021.
These indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says an indictment is a charging document and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
