Smithsburg, Md. (KM) – Fire damaged a three-story commercial building in Washington County late Wednesday morning.
At around 11:22 AM, fire fighters were dispatched to 21411 Jefferson Boulevard in Smithsburg, and spent ten-minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was reported injured.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says damage is estimated at $20,000 to the structure, and $5,000 to the contents. . The fire originated in a second-story bathroom, and was discovered by employees.
