He’s currently being held without bond.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – A Frederick man charged with child sex abuse is being held without bond. Adam Benjamin Watson, 41, was extradited from West Virginia on Thursday. He’s charged with 2nd-degree rape, sex abuse of a minor with a family member, sex abuse of a minor continuing course of conduct, 2nd-degree assault, 3rd-degree sex offense and 4th-degree sex offense with sexual contact.
The Sheriff’s Office says in early March, 2022, deputies responded to the 5100 block of Mount Zion Road to take a report of a sex offense of a minor. Detectives began an investigation, and it led to charges being filed against Watson. He was located in West Virginia where he was detained.
The Sheriff’s Office say Watson is a former employee at Bright Eyes Early Learning Center, and also worked at day care centers in other parts of Frederick. But detectives say these charges against Watson are not related his past employment.
The Investigation continues, and anyone who has had inappropriate contact with Watson is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 301-600-1046, and ask to speak with a detective.
