Frederick, Md. (KM) – A Frederick man involved in a shooting nearly two years ago was sentenced on Friday. The State’s Attorney’s Office says Nathaniel Armanian Julius, 24, was given 20-years with all but five years suspended, and with credit served from November 2nd, 2020 till now. He also must serve three years of supervised probation after he’s released, and have no contact with the victim.
Julius pleaded guilty on March 14th, 2022 to attempted 2nd-degree murder for the shooting of Kermee Dormeyan in July, 2020 in the 100 block of Key Parkway. Frederick Police say Dormeyan was also charged with weapons offenses following the shooting. Officers say he had a “Glock-style” handgun in his pants pocket.
Prosecutors had asked for 30-years incarceration for Julius with nine-years to serve behind bars.
