Fire officials say the home is s ‘complete loss.’
Sharpsburg, Md. (KM) – Fire destroyed a house in Sharpsburg on Sunday morning.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters were dispatched to 5003 Churchey Road just before 6:00 AM for a rancher style manufactured home with a basement on fire.
They and spent nearly an hour bringing the flames under control. No one was hurt, and the occupant was not home at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $55,000 to both the structure and its contents. But the Fire Marshal’s Office says the home is a total loss.
The cause remains under investigation.
The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
