He got out of his car after hitting a deer
Myersville, Md. (NS/DG) – A fatal accident on Interstate-70 westbound in Frederick County is under investigation.
Maryland State Police say Jordan Scott Maddocks, 33, of Canal Fulton, Ohio was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer at around 3 a.m.
Investigators report that Maddocks got out of his car on Interstate-70 westbound near Harmony Road after striking a deer and was hit by a tractor-trailer.
EMS workers pronounced Maddocks dead at 3:30 a.m.
I-70 was closed for several hours while officials investigated the accident.
Maddocks was traveling with 3 passengers who were all not injured. The truck driver remained at the scene and was also not injured.

Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal accident in the Myersville area early this morning.
Shortly after 3 AM police responded to Interstate 70 westbound after Harmony Road for a man who was hit by a vehicle.
According to scanner reports, the man was in the roadway when he was struck by the vehicle. He was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
I-70 westbound is closed while police are investigating.
