One is for an individual charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – Nine indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury.
One is against Raven Justin Cosley, 42, of Hagerstown, who is charged with two counts of attempted 1st degree murder, assault and weapons offenses. He was arrested for shooting two people during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 5th in the 1000 block of Heather Ridge Drive.
Also indicted as co-defendants are Markel Demar Lyles-Smith, 24, of Rockville, and Jaleiqk Cortez Onley, 21, of Frederick. Both are charged with armed robbery, assault and other offenses for robbing a convenience store in the 200 block of Amber Drive in Frederick on Friday, July 22th. Both were indicted as co-defendants.
Two other individuals indicted as co-defendants are Alaura Deanna Snyder, 28, and John Joseph Smith, Jr., 32. Both are from Westernport, Maryland in Allegany County. The Grand Jury has charged them with possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl heroin mix; possession of a large amount, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to posses with intent to distribute and possession of heroin; possession of a large amount of, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine. Snyder is also charged with making a false statement to a police officer. Smith is charged with driving without a license; driving while suspended and driving while revoked.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says Snyder and Smith were arrested during a traffic stop on Thursday, July 21st on Interstate 70 near Myersville. Deputies say the two had more than 340 grams of narcotics in their vehicle.
Other indictments returned on Friday were:
*Samantha Nicole Beasley, 30, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault, and two counts of 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on June 27th, 2022.
*Christopher Aviles, 24, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with ten counts of distribution, promotion, and possession with intent to distribute child pornography; and ten counts of possession of child pornography for incidents which occurred on August 10th, 2021, August 12th, 2021, August 14th, 2021 and August 18th, 2021.
* Robert Thomas Cichelli, 34, of Frederick, Md who is charged with sex abuse of a minor for an incident which occurred on July 7th, 2022.
* Angel Javier Bautista, 19, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with two counts of 1st-degree assault, and one count of 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on July 31st, 2022.
These cases now move to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
The State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal content, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
