Montgomery County, Md. (BW)- A Montgomery County gun store owner was arrested for first-degree assault Tuesday morning.
42-year-old Andrew S. Raymond fired several shots at an unmarked police vehicle in the parking lot of his store at around 12:30 a.m.
The police officer noticed a man running towards the vehicle while reaching into his waistband.
The officer drove away when he heard gun shots, calling for assistance.
When the officer turned on his emergency signaling, Raymond stopped, dropped his weapon, raised his hands and was taken into custody.
There were five gun store robberies between Nov. 19 and Nov 28. in Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties.
