Frederick County Grand Jury Returns 14 Indictments On Friday

These cases now move to Circuit Court.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 14 indictments on Friday.

One was against Kyler Phillip Beard, 35, of Frederick, who is charged with attempted 1st-degree murder, attempted and 2nd-degree murder, 1st-degree assault,  2nd-degree assault, home invasion and two counts of violating a protective order.

Beard was arrested on March 31st, 2023 in the 600 block of Wyngate Drive for a domestic incident,. Frederick Police responded and said the victim. a man in his 60’s, was stabbed. He was medivaced to Shock Trauma with life threatening injuries/

Also indicted was Derrick Lynn Goines, Jr,. 36, of Frederick who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; reckless endangerment; possession of a firearm with a felony conviction; use of a firearm in a violent crime or a felony; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; having a loaded handgun in a vehicle; having a loaded handgun on his person; having a handgun on his person; and illegal possession of ammunition.

Frederick Police arrested Goines on April 12th, 2023, for an incident on March 18th. On that date, police officers responded to the 100 block of West All Saints Street for a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken an area hospital where he was treated and released. Detectives say they were able to gather enough evidence to place charges against Goines. They also say it appears the victim and the suspect were know to each other, and this was not a random act of violence.

Other individuals indicted on Friday include:

*Steven Parker Lohmann, 44, of Brunswick, Md. who is charged with sex abuse of a minor, and three counts of 4th degree sex offense involving contact for an incident which occurred on December 30th, 2022.

*Joel Nelson Guerra-Sanchez, 22,, of Frederick, Md who is charged with attempted 2nd-degree rape and sex abuse of a mi minor in the house and family for incidents which occurred between December 1st to December 31st, 2021.

*Kaitlyn Taylor Bucklin, 34, of Frederick Md . who is charged with two counts each of 2nd-degree child abuse involving a custodian, and 2nd-degree assault for incidents which occurred between February 13rh, 2023 and February 26th, 2023.

*Mario Sental Adams, 38, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine; use of a firearm in drug trafficking; distribution of narcotics with a firearm; having a loaded handgun in a vehicle; having a handgun in a vehicle; possession of a firearm with a conviction of a crime of violence or a felony;  and illegal possession of ammunition for an incident which occurred on April 4th, 2023.

*Jose Antonio Zelaya-Munguia, 23, of Frederick, Md. who is charged with 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on November 15th, 2021.

*Anthony Lamont Carroll, Jr., 29, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 1st degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on March 20th, 2023.

*Khyree Jamal Moten, 23, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 1st degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on April 7th, 2023.

*Charles Martin McCroy, 48, of Washington DC, who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd degree assault; reckless endangerment; possession of a firearm with a felony conviction; possession of a firearm for use in a felony or violent crime; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; having  a loaded handgun on his person; illegal possession of ammunition; malicious destruction of property; and discharging a firearm within the city for an incident which occurred on March 18th, 2023.

*Tristan Aaron Twenty, 19., of Mount Airy, Md., who is charged with two counts of 1st-degree assault; two counts of 2nd-degree assault; two counts of reckless endangerment; and one count of use of a firearm in a crime of violence for an incident which occurred on April 6th, 2023.

*Kyle Dane Rosendahl, 22, of Frederick, Md who is charged with 3rd degree burglary; 4th degree burglary of a dwelling; two counts of malicious destruction of property of more than $1,000; and one count of trespassing on private property for an incident on March 27th, 2023.

* Richard Allen Johnson, Jr., 60, of Walkersville, Md. who is charged with two counts of robbery; two counts of 2nd degree assault; and three counts of theft between $100 and $1500 for incidents which occurred on March 31st, 2023 and April 1st, 2023.

These indictments move these cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says an indictment is a charging document alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
