State Police Charge Frederick County Man With Child Abuse

He is being held without bond.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man has been charged with child abuse and another related offenses.  Jason Michael Colley,43, was arrested on Wednesday, and charged with 2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault. He is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division of the Western Region say it was  contacted on Tuesday by the Frederick County Department of Social Services’ Child Protective Services about a physical child abuse. Through an investigation, troopers say Colley was developed as a suspect.

He was taken into custody without incident at his home.

Investigators say they do not believe there are any other juveniles injured, or are in danger at this time.

The investigation into this case continues.
