Myersville, Md (KM) The investigation continues into a fatal crash in Frederick County Sunday night invovling a motorcycle and a tractor trailer. .
Maryland State Police say just after 7:00 PM, troopers were dispatched to Interstate 70 westbound near the South Mountain Rest area. They determined that the motorcycle operated by Gregory Wood, 59, of Hagerstown was traveling westbound along I-70 at a high rate of speed. The bike struck the rear of truck tractor which was pulling a container trailer in the right lane. .
Wood was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer, Fabian Bentley, 48, from Chesapeake, Virginia, was not hurt.
State Police say anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Frederick Barrack. They can call TFC Kittoe at 301-600-4181.
