City of Frederick says it will involve some road closures.
Frederick, Md (KM) Work is expected to get underway on Monday to widen Gas House Pike at the intersection with Monocacy Boulevard.
The Frederick City Engineering Department says Gas House Pike between Monocacy Boulevard and Helix Way will be closed for about four months due to the work. Crews will be adding one right turn lane and two left turn lanes onto Monocacy Boulevard, and two eastbound lanes from Monocacy Boulevard. . There will also be widening of the southbound lanes. .
City officials say crews will add two left turn lanes on to Gas House Pike, and two through lanes northbound will be shifted to accommodate the expanding right turn lane onto to Gas House Pike.
Despite this closure, the city says the Clustered Spires Golf Course will be accessible from Precision Way, which will also serve as a detour route for residents.
