Frederick, Md (KM) It was no day at the beach for local law enforcement during the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to nearly 600 calls for service, and made 24 arrests; including six for driving under the influence.
One arrest was made on Saturday. Brendan Roman, 23, of Emmitsburg was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. Authorities say they found guns and ammunition in his vehicle. After a check with the Maryland Gun Center. deputies learned that Roman is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
He tired to flee from his vehicle during the traffic stop, but was taken into custody. He is charged with firearms offenses.
Roman is being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
