Training Exercise To Take Place Wednesday In Brunswick Along The Potomac River

It will feature a hoist operations near the  Public Boat Ramp.

Brunswick, Md (KM) There’s expected to be a lot of fire and rescue activity taking place on Wednesday on or near the Potomac River in Brunswick by the Public Boat Ramp, but residents don’t need to be concerned.

The  Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services says crews from its agency, plus the Maryland Department of Emergency Management, the Maryland Army National Guard, Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company,  the Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company, the Maryland State Police, the Washington County Division of Rescue Services and the Potomac Valley  Fire Company will be participating in a training on hoist operations using state air assets.

There will be an increased presence of boats and helicopters along the Potomac River, but, again, residents do not need to be concerned.

The training will last from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
