Frederick Woman Killed In I-70 Crash

Her vehicle struck the rear of a tractor trailer.

Middletown, Md (KM) Maryland State Police continue to investigate a fatal crash on Interstate 70 near Middletown Thursday morning.

At around 10:00 AM, troopers were dispatched to eastbound I-70 near Hollow Road. Their investigation determined that Emily Arnoult, 50,  of Frederick, was driving an SUV eastbound along I-70 when for unknown reasons it crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer.

She was transported to Frederick Health Hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead. There were no other injuries from this crash.

State Police say a few lanes of eastbound I-70 were closed for a brief period of time while troopers conducted an investigation. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration assisted with the road closures.
