The event is put on by the Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland and the Frederick Department of Housing and Human Services.
Frederick, Md. (BW)- Free Thanksgiving turkeys will be available for pick-up by Frederick Residents on Tuesday, November 21.
The event will take place at Nymeo Field, located at 21 Stadium Drive in Frederick, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
To be eligible to receive food, participants must show proof of residency in Frederick County.
1,200 Turkeys from Wegmans will be available on Tuesday. Bread and sides for Thanksgiving dinner will also be available for pick up.
Pick-up is on a first come, first serve basis. This is a walk-in event. No registration is required.
Community resources will also be on hand at the event, as well as raffles and music.
The Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland is partnering with the Department of Housing and Human Services in Frederick to put on this event.
