Child Care Community Information & Input Sessions To Be Held

It’s part of the Frederick County Child Care Market Study.

Frederick, Md (KM) Sessions on ways to improve child care for kids who are not yet in kindergarten have been scheduled.

The Frederick County Office for Children and Families is holding a Community Information and Input Session on Wednesday, November 15th from 7:00 PM until 8:15 PM. This meeting will focus on families with young children. Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation will be available. Participants must register in advance (www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/ChildCareFamiles.

Another session with attention to employers and businesses is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th from 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM . As with the November 15th meeting, Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation will be available. Participants must also pre-register. (www.FrederickCountyMD.gove/ChildCareBusinesses)

The County’s Office for Children and Families has contracted with Public Policy Associates and Solomon Evaluation to to conduct a Child Care Market Study, and these meetings are collaboration between that company and the county  The study is funded by an American Rescue Plan Act Grant.  Its findings will be used to look at solutions to improve equitable access to high quality child care. .
