Frederick man is charged.
Frederick, Md. (KM) Frederick Police confiscated a large quantity of marijuana during a traffic stop last Friday night.
Officers with the Street Crimes Team were doing surveillance in the area of Heather Ridge Drive and Oppossumtown Pike at 11:00 PM when they saw an SUV pull into a parking lot, and the driver get out. The operator identified as Stephan A. Call, 27, of Frederick entered one of the buildings. He came out two or three minutes later, and drove away quickly.
Police say this behavior is indicative of drug activity and the SUV was pulled over.
Officers say they detected the odor of raw marijuana. Call was ordered out of the vehicle, but police say he refused and became resistant. He was placed under arrest.
A search of the SUV netted nine baggies of pot with a total weight of 25.5. grams
Call was taken into custody, and charged with one count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, unlawfully possessing marijuana in an amount with intent to distribute within 100-feet of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
