Frederick, Md (KM) A Baltimore man is charged in Frederick County with several drug offenses. Milton Jerome Stewart, 58, was arrested last Thursday, March 28th, following a traffic stop.
The Sheriff’s Office says Stewart was pulled over by a deputy along westbound Interstate 70 at Hollow Road for a number of traffic violations. The deputy had a suspicion about a drug crime while in contact with the occupants. A police canine was called to the scene. The dog did a scan and indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. .
A search netted 43.2 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 27.6 grams of cocaine concealed under the hood. Deputies also confiscated other evidence such as empty containers used to package drugs, and a digital scale.
Stewart was taken into custody, and is being held without bond.
He is charged with possession of a large amount of drugs (fentanyl); possession with intent to distribute drugs (fentanyl); possession with intent to distribute drugs (cocaine); possession of narcotics (fentanyl); possession of drugs (cocaine); and possession of paraphernalia (digital scale)
The Sheriffs Office also says Stewart was convicted of 1st-degree murder in 2006, and received a life sentence in Circuit Court in Baltimore City. He was released from prison, and is currently under the supervision by state and federal parole and probation authorities.
