Hagerstown, Md (KM) Fire and rescue personnel from Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland were dispatched to Franklin County, Pennsylvania Friday morning for a confined space rescue.
The mutual aid call went out at around 10:50 AM to 14781 Williamsport Pike where a man was trapped in a grain silo surrounded by corn. Officials say it took fire and rescue crews about three hours to free the man. He was flown to an area trauma center conscious and alert.
The Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services says it sent its Technical Rescue Team to Franklin County.
