Cause Of House Fire In Williamsport Under Investigation

Williamsport, Md (KM) The cause of a house fire in Williamsport in Washington County Thursday night remains under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters were called out shortly before 7:00 PM to  16246-16248 Wright Road for a vacant, two-story duplex on fire.  62 fire fighters spent 50 ,minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was injured.

Damage to the home is estimated at $50,000 to the structure..

Investigators say the fire originated in the second-floor and attic area.
