Suspect Arrested In Shots-Fired Incident In Urbana

He was taken into custody without incident.

Urbana, Md (KM) Charges have been filed in connection with a shots-fired incident in Urbana Friday morning. Adrienne Mendoza Milam, 48, is charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, firearms possession by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of narcotics with a firearm, and a violation of an extreme protective order.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says at around 9:30 AM, deputies were called to a home in the 3800 block of Braveheart Drive for an unknown emergency.  When they arrived, they heard gunshots. They established perimeter to prevent Milam from leaving the house. He was the sole occupant of the home, according to authorities.

Frederick County Emergency Management used a reverse  911 to inform residents about the  situation, and remain clear of the scene.

Shots continued to be fired from the house, and the Sheriff’s Office says its repeated efforts to contact Milam were unsuccessful. .

After about an hour, deputies say they were able to contact Milam and instructed him to come out of the home. . He was taken into custody without incident.

Frederick County Fire and Services personnel conducted a precautionary check on Milam, and transported him to Frederick Health Hospital for an evaluation.

The Sheriff’s Office says there were no injuries from this incident.
