Fire Damages House In Washington County Over The Weekend

Hagerstown, Md (KM) Damage is estimated at $50,000 to the structure, and $25,000 to the contents following a house fire in Washington County Saturday afternoon..

At around 5:10 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 17604 Heisterboro Road in Hagerstown for a one story, single family home on fire. They spent 30-minutes bringing the flames under control. No injuries were reported.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in an exterior wall. The cause is labeled as accidental due to a grounding system issue.

The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
